A method for integrally operating an OSD in a multimedia device is provided to enable a user to identify a currently-selected menu from a menu identification icon and confirm detail information of a menu from a progress state bar. By using one progress state bar(120) within a designated area, a progress state of all menus is displayed. On the progress state bar, a menu identification icon(110) is displayed. A display position of the menu identification icon is changed according to a ratio of a current progress state displayed on the progress state bar. All menus necessary for a user while driving a video and voice of a multimedia device are implemented in a designated location within one designated area.
