摘要 A plasma display panel and a driving method thereof are provided to enhance contrast thereof by generating micro discharge according to the supplement of sustain voltages during a reset period. A plasma display panel includes discharge cells(314), scan and sustain drivers(306,304), and an address driver(302). The discharge cells are formed at cross sections of scan, sustain, and address electrodes. The scan and sustain drivers supply driving pulses to the scan and sustain electrodes. The address driver supplies driving pulses to the address electrodes and selects discharge cells to be turned off during the address period. The scan and sustain drivers alternately supplies sustain pulses having a negative polarity sustain voltage during the sustain period. The scan driver supplies a first square wave having the negative polarity sustain voltage to the scan electrodes during a first interval of the reset period and a first rising pulse, which is increased up to a sustain voltage, during a second interval.
