In a programmable controller of the building block type connected to an information system network (IN1) and a control system network (CN1) and mutually connecting these networks, a network unit (10A) includes transfer analysis units (20A, 20B) for judging to which of interface units (12, 14, 16) the reception data received from the information system network (Si) and the control system network (Sc) are to be distributed. The reception data to be transferred is not sent to a system bus but converted into predetermined data by conversion processing units (28A, 30A) of the network unit and outputted to the information system network or the control system network. Thus, even when the sale of the control system network or the information system network is increased, it is possible to easily suppress a load on a CPU unit of the programmable controller and the system bus.
