The invention relates to an underwater inspection device enabling a simple and rapid detailed inspection of a wide area of an underwater environment, said device comprising a submersible module (1) containing a video camera (7) configured in such a way as to rotate 360° about an axis, and a control element (10) for controlling the operation and movement of the video camera (7) and for receiving the images captured by same. The device according to the invention also includes means (12) for visualising the images. Said means can be a pair of glasses.
