#CMT# #/CMT# Rubber composition (A) comprises at least a diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler and a plasticizing system comprising a hydrocarbonated plasticizing resin whose glass transition temperature is higher than 0[deg] C, and a tri- or pyromellitate ester compound (I). #CMT# : #/CMT# Rubber composition (A) comprises at least a diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler and a plasticizing system comprising a hydrocarbonated plasticizing resin whose glass transition temperature is higher than 0[deg] C, and a tri- or pyromellitate ester compound of formula (I). R : hydrocarbon radical (preferably 1-15C alkyl, 6-30C aryl, 6-30C aralkyl or 6-30C alkaryl); and R1 : H (preferred) or COOR. Independent claims are included for: (1) a tire running tread comprising (A); (2) a tire comprising (A); (3) a method for preparing (A) comprising incorporating a diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler and a plasticizing system in a mixer by thermomechanically mixing until reaches a maximum temperature of 110-190[deg] C, cooling the mixture at a temperature lower than 100[deg] C, incorporating a crosslinking system, mixing until reaches a maximum temperature of lower than 110[deg] C, and extruding or calendering (A); and (4) a plasticizing system for the plastification of diene rubber composition, comprising hydrocarbonated plasticizing resin and (I). #CMT#[Image]#/CMT# #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (A) is useful for manufacturing tire or semi-finished rubber product. The plasticizing system is useful for the plasticization of diene rubber composition for tire (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (A) improves the wear resistance and sliding resistance of the tires and provides excellent gripping property on wet roads. #CMT#INORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The reinforcing filler comprises a carbon black and/or silica. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The ester is preferably a trimellitate ester. The trimellitate is trioctyl trimellitate and/or tri-isooctyl trimellitate. The rate of tri- or pyromellitate ester is 5-60 (preferably 5-40) parts by weight for 100 parts of the elastomer. The hydrocarbonated resin has: a glass transition temperature of higher than +20[deg] C; an average molecular weight of 400-2000 g/mol; and a polymolecularity index of less than 3. #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The hydrocarbonated resin is homopolymer or copolymer of cyclopentadiene (CPD) or dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), terpene homopolymer or copolymer and/or homopolymer or copolymer of 5C, (D)CPD homopolymer resin, (D)CPD/styrene copolymer resin, polylimonene (preferred), limonene/styrene copolymer resin, limonene/(D)CPD copolymer resin, 5C/styrene copolymer resin (preferred) and/or 5C/9C copolymer resin (preferred). The copolymer resins are (D)CPD/vinylaromatic copolymer resins, (D)CPD/terpene copolymer resins, (D)CPD/5C copolymer resins, terpene/vinylaromatic copolymer resins and/or 5C/vinylaromatic copolymer resins. The rate of hydrocarbonated plasticizing resin is 5-60 parts by weight for 100 parts of the elastomer. The diene elastomer is polybutadiene, synthetic polyisoprene, natural rubber, butadiene copolymer and/or copolymers of isoprene. #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# The reinforcing filler, coupling agent, plasticizing system, diene elastomer and various other ingredients except vulcanization system were introduced in an internal mixer filled to 70% and whose initial temperature was maintained at 60[deg] C. The obtained mixture was incorporated into sulfur and accelerator type sulfonamide on an external mixer, then the resulting mixtures were cooled at 30[deg] C for 5-12 minutes to obtain the rubber composition. |
