<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce thickness of a display panel module by packaging interface components to the outside without using a dedicated circuit board or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A display panel 11 with pixel circuits for displaying a video arranged in a matrix, a driving circuit board 12 which is mounted with circuit components for driving the display panel, and a flexible circuit board 13 which is mounted with components for driving the pixel circuits on a flexible substrate, and connects the display panel and the driving circuit. The flexible circuit board 13 is arranged with a prescribed spacing between the display panel 11 and the driving circuit board 12. The driving circuit board 12 is arranged on the rear side of the display panel 11 while bending the flexible circuit board 13.
