<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element, excelling in the photoelectric conversion characteristics by having corrosion resistance balanced with conductivity in a counter electrode to reduce the internal resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This photoelectric conversion element 1 is provided with an action electrode 14 having a porous oxide semiconductor layer 13 with a sensitizing dye supported thereto, and functioning as a window electrode, and the counter electrode 20 arranged opposite to the action electrode, by interposing an electrolyte layer 15, at least in a part. The photoelectric conversion element is characterized in that the counter electrode constituted by stacking a metal plate 21 inactive with respective to the electrolyte and a metal layer 22 to each other; the metal plate is arranged by directing one-side surface thereof in the direction of the electrolyte layer; and the other-side surface thereof is roughened and brought into contact with the metal layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
