<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately perform registration of a rejectable model required for correctly determining whether a component is acceptable. <P>SOLUTION: A component sorting section 103 sorts respective components on a substrate according to the type and the size using the CAD data of the substrate input from a CAD data input section 101. A model registration section 104 registers the acceptable model of the image of a component in a model storage section 111 for every article number, and sets a rejectable model by using the acceptable model of other component belonging to the same group. With regard to a component of inspection object, an inspection executing section 107 determines the similarity of an inspection object image for each model by using the acceptable model and the rejectable model corresponding to that component.
