<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation in an image displayed on a display device as a part of multiscreen display. <P>SOLUTION: An editing device 2 has a virtual screen area 44 larger than the display screen of the display device 4, and the editing device 2 outputs an area of the virtual screen area 44 assigned to the display screen of the display device 4 to the display device 4.
