<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tactile pin drive mechanism that eliminates reciprocating movement (vertical movement) troublesome in appearance of tactile pins on a tactile surface in output and is not affected by gravity, for a 3-dimensional tactile display connected to a computer, where output speed is raised, the cost is low, and the mounting density of tactile pins is increased. <P>SOLUTION: The tactile pin attracting stage is moved in the projecting direction of the tactile pin with a tactile pin attracted by magnetic force, so that the tactile pin is moved in the projecting direction. In the moving process, by separately braking each tactile pin when it reaches an optional position by a braking mechanism capable of separately braking movement in the projecting direction of the tactile pin, the attraction is released and the tactile pin is held at the braking position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
