<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method of a static data area of a nonvolatile data storage device, a wear-leveling method, and a data unit merging method and its device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for detecting the static data area of the nonvolatile data storage device includes a step of storing an age value indicating a write time in an allocated unit to record data, a step of deciphering the age value stored in the unit, and a step for deciding the static data area through the deciphered age value. Accordingly, the accurate static area is detected without requiring additional overhead, wear-leveling effect of the storage device as a whole can be increased by moving data, and the lifespan of the storage device can be prolonged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
