PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool assembly for brushing circumferential welds in a limited access area between a cylindrical inner member and cylindrical outer member, such as a shroud and a container of a nuclear reactor. SOLUTION: The tool assembly includes a circumferential plate (12) of a dimension which is larger than the outside diameter of the inner member and smaller than the inside diameter of the outer member. At least one renew brush (14) is coupled to the circumferential plate. A motor is coupled to the renew brush and rotates the brush. A drive assembly (18) installed between the inner member and outer member is engaged with the circumferential plate and drives the circumferential plate in the circumferential direction in the limited access area.
