METHOD FOR SCREENING AUXILIARY AGENT CAPABLE OF PROMOTING EXPRESSION INDUCTION OF INTERFERON-alpha AND/OR -beta (IFN-alpha/beta)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening an auxiliary agent capable of promoting the expression induction of interferon-αand/or -β(IFN-α/β). SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (a) in a cell/nucleic acid adjuvant system in which the expression of IFN-α/βis not induced in the absence of the auxiliary agent, incubating the cell together with the nucleic acid adjuvant in the presence or absence of a candidate compound for the auxiliary agent; (b-1) confirming the presence of the intracellular movement of the nucleic acid adjuvant into an endosome vesicle by the action of the candidate compound or (b-2) confirming the presence of the induction of the expression of IFN-α/βby the action of the candidate compound; and (c) regarding the compound as an effective auxiliary agent when the movement of the nucleic acid adjuvant into an endosome vesicle or the induction of the expression of IFN-α/βis recognized in step (b-1) or (b-2).
