PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a tugged body connecting part by reducing the whirling of a tugged body in tugging. SOLUTION: A prevention device to prevent the right and left whirling of the tugged body to a tugging course in tugging the tugged body by a tugging rope by a tugboat has the tugging rope connected by a tensile force in tugging between the tugboat and the tugged body and a hydraulic pressure difference generating member mounted in the vertical direction along the tugging rope and with hydraulic pressure receptive surfaces formed on right and left both side surfaces, and the whirling prevention device of the tugged body constitutes its characteristic feature of providing the hydraulic pressure difference generating member on a connecting end on the tugged body side of the tugging rope or at a position in the neighborhood of it. Consequently, it is possible to effectively prevent the whirling of the tugged body by a simple constitution interposing the plate type hydraulic pressure generating member on the tugging rope.
