An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method of manufacturing the LCD are provided to separately form source and drain electrodes after a semiconductor layer is formed to prevent a channel from being diffraction-exposed to thereby minimize off current. An LCD includes gate lines, data lines, a TFT(Thin Film Transistor), and a pixel electrode. The gate lines and the data lines are arranged on a substrate(100) in an intersecting manner to define pixels. The TFT is formed at each of intersections of the gate lines and the data lines and includes a source electrode(A) formed of three layers(121a,123a,125a) and a drain electrode(B) formed from three layers(121b,123b,125b). The pixel electrode(C) is formed from two layers(121c,123c) in each pixel. |
