A hermetic compressor is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost and to prevent the increase of vibration due to the resonance of suction pipes by connecting suction holes of a plurality of cylinders to each other and connecting a suction pipe to one of the cylinders instead of connecting each suction pipe to each of the cylinders independently. A hermetic compressor includes first and second cylinders(310,410) mounted at upper and lower parts in a case and having compression spaces and suction holes, each of the suction holes being communicated with each other, a plurality of bearing plates(500) disposed on the first cylinder, under the second cylinder and between the first and second cylinders for forming the compression spaces together with the cylinders, and a single suction pipe connected to the suction hole(311) of the first cylinder directly. A connection path(312,511) is formed in the center of the suction hole of the first cylinder so as to be communicated to a suction hole(411) of the second cylinder with an inclination. |
