A method for providing a menu with a movable menu set and a multimedia device thereof are provided to offer convenient manipulation and excellent visual effect in a relatively small touch screen of the multimedia device. A multimedia function block(210) performs unique functions, such as a file search function, a game function, a recording function, music, moving picture, and photo playback functions, a document making function, and a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) playback function, of a multimedia device. A GUI(Graphic User Interface) unit(220) provides a GUI implemented by using a menu set to an image generated by the multimedia function block. A touch screen(230) displays the image including the GUI, and receives touch, long touch, and dragging operations from a user. A control unit(240) enables the GUI unit to display the GUI corresponding to manipulation of the user on the touch screen.
