<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT system which displays tomographic images having image quality optimized for reading by applying an image filter of image feature quantity dependence type to each local region of the tomographic image having the image reconstructed by using a reconstruction function for emphasizing high-frequency region components and is ready to display and adjust the tomographic image without lacking the high-frequency region components before applying the image filter. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing for applying the image filter to the tomographic image in which the high-frequency region components are emphasized is performed not at the image reconstruction of the tomographic image but at displaying the tomographic image.
