<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyethylene terephthalate using a titanium catalyst that exhibits excellent film formability and can be a raw material of a molded item having few defects caused by deposition of a cyclic trimer. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester composition comprises at least 90 mol% of an ethylene terephthalate unit, is obtained using a titanium compound as a polymerization catalyst metal compound, and contains at most 0.4 wt.% of a cyclic trimer of ethylene terephthalate and 0.1-1,000 ppm of a crystallization nucleus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
