OPTICAL FILM, POLARIZING PLATE, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE OPTICAL FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which has an excellent dustproof property, in which uneven interference is restrained from being caused and which has high hardness and is excellent in scratch resistance and other performances and to provide a polarizing plate and a display device in each of which the optical film is used.

SOLUTION: The optical film has an antistatic layer containing an electrically conductive particle and at least one adjacent layer adjacent to the antistatic layer on a support. A layered zone having the refractive index intermediate between that of the antistatic layer and that of the adjacent layer is formed between the antistatic layer and the adjacent layer. The layered zone contains a binder having an aromatic group or an inorganic fine particle which is different from the electrically conductive particle and has ≥1.55 refractive index.
