PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-sided plasma display apparatus having a structure in which spurious radiation and noises can be reduced. SOLUTION: In a single-sided plasma display apparatus which performs single-sided drive of a PDP from a Y electrode (3T) side, one end in a column direction of a metallic plate (16) disposed on the PDP back is connected to an X electrode terminal (4T), and the other end of the metallic plate is connected to GND of a Y circuit board (20) having a Y driving section. As a result, a sustain current flowing from the Y electrode to the X electrode in a sustain period and a GND current flowing to the metallic plate are reversed with respect to each other. Thereby, the sustain current and the GND current are mutually offset to suppress the spurious radiation and the noises. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
