PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of slidably and easily receiving a needle with sliding sections having different diameters in a nozzle body. SOLUTION: In the fuel injection valve, the needle 7 has a first needle 8 having a first sliding section 81, a second needle 9 having a second sliding section 95 which is arranged on approximately the same axis with the first needle 8 and is smaller than the outer diameter of the first sliding section 81, and a valve section 71 for opening and closing an injection hole 46. The fuel injection valve includes connection means 82 and 91 which are arranged between a first end 85 of the first needle 8 and a second end 96 of the second needle 9 and are connected to move in both directions to open and close the injection hole 46 by the needle 7, and pressure control chamber 32, between the first and second sliding sections 81 and 95, which makes fluid pressure act on the first end 85 or second end 96. The connecting means 82 and 91 have a recess 83 formed on the first end 85, and protrusions 92 and 93 which are formed on the second end 96 and are fitted by inserting into the recess 83.
