The injector has a valve device (1) e.g. 4/ 2-directional valve, for controlling opening and closing movements of a nozzle needle (10). A control chamber (11) adjacent to the nozzle needle is arranged at a back side, where the control chamber is pressure discharged or fluidically pressure subjectable via the valve device. Fluid channels (12, 13) extend between the valve device and the control chamber, where the fluid channel (12) is provided for application of pressure and the fluid channel (13) is provided for discharge of pressure of the control chamber.
