摘要 An array substrate of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method of manufacturing the array substrate are provided to compensate charging characteristic caused by a decrease in a pixel effective voltage according to a repair process to improve picture quality. An array substrate of an LCD includes a substrate, a gate line(120) formed on the substrate in one direction, a gate electrode(125) extended from the gate line, and a gate compensation electrode(126) extended from the gate line and arranged in parallel with the gate electrode at a distance from the gate electrode. The array substrate further includes a data line(130) perpendicular to the gate line, a source electrode(132) extended from the data line, a drain electrode(134) partially superposed on the gate electrode and the gate compensation electrode, an active layer(140) and an ohmic contact layer in an island shape, which are formed at the intersection of the gate line and the data line and partially superposed on the gate electrode, a pixel electrode(170) connected to the drain electrode through a drain contact hole(CH2), and a repair line(165) formed of the same material as the data line and partially overlapped with a neighboring pixel electrode.
