PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently measure a dimension by a simple operation.

SOLUTION: A circular mark 3 is attached to a front face portion B2of an object A2to be measured, and then the image of the object A2to be measured is captured by means of a digital camera (not shown in the figure). Projective transformation is carried out by obtaining a conversion coefficient necessary for the projective transformation based on the shape of the image of the mark 3. The image is expanded or contracted so as to coincide the dimension of the mark 3 on the image with a target value. As a result, an ortho-image in a predetermined contraction scale is obtained so that it is possible to measure the dimension based on the image. In the event of the measurement of the dimension, it is not necessary to actually measure the object A2to be measured so that it is possible to efficiently measure the dimension by a simple operation.
