<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit capable of obtaining white light with color shading curtailed, and a backlight unit as well as a display device equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The light source unit (20) is provided with a plurality of LEDs (25R, 25G, 25B) with different maximum wavelengths of radiation spectra, a color-mixing member (21) taking in light of the plurality of LEDs (25R, 25G, 25B) from incident faces (21a), mixing it and irradiating it from irradiation faces (21b).
