<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel economy by avoiding frequent operations of an engine for only charging as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: In an air-conditioner mounted on a hybrid vehicle which comprises an engine 1, an electric generator 2 and a battery 4 for supplying the power to the electric power generation means 2, controls the operation and the stop of the engine 1 according to the traveling condition, drives the electric generator 2 by the engine 1 to charge the battery when a charging residual amount of the battery 4 becomes equal to or lower than a charging starting target value, the air-conditioner has an air-conditioning unit 6 which is power-supplied from the battery 4 to perform the air-conditioning in a cabin, and an electric compressor 41 for the air-conditioning unit. The capacity of the air-conditioning unit 6 is set to be lower when the engine 1 is stopped during the travel of the hybrid vehicle than that when the engine 1 is operated during the travel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
