<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication system, a transmitter and a receiver, and a communication method capable of reducing an effect of a transmission power control error caused by an idle time without diffusing the idle time within a frame during compressed mode transmission. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication system which comprises a transmitter 1A and a receiver 2A operable in an ordinary mode or a compressed mode during which a prescribed idle time can be set and in which the transmitter 1A performs transmission power control on a frame during each of the modes, when operating in the compressed mode, the transmitter 1A determines a position of the idle time so as to minimize the effect of transmission power control error after the idle time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
