<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: when polarization is executed by applying high voltage between a core electrode and an external electrode, a whole flexible pressure sensitive body cannot be polarized due to minute fault if any, and when the flexible pressure sensitive body is polarized while placing it in a passage of the polarization electrode, variation in characteristics occurs. <P>SOLUTION: This polarizing apparatus is provided with: a passage 14 provided along a core electrode 11 and allowing a flexible pressure sensitive body 12 to pass; a plurality of conductive particles 13 provided in the passage 14 so as to contact the entire circumference of the flexible pressure sensitive body 12; a voltage applying means 17 connected to the core electrode 11 and the conductive particles 13; a heating means 15 for heating the flexible pressure sensitive body; and a moving means 16 for allowing the flexible pressure sensitive body 12 to move while contacting the conductive particles 13. With this configuration, since the flexible pressure sensitive body 12 can uniformly contact the conductive particles 13, it can be uniformly polarized from all directions.
