<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recording hand-written information and a projection recording apparatus, which can improve the usability in using hand-written information on a screen later. <P>SOLUTION: A projector has a digital camera on which a memory card is detachably mounted. In response to the imaging operation of a user, a screen is imaged in a document projection state, to obtain a document image G1, and then a screen is imaged in a non-projection state where document projection is stopped, to obtain a hand-written information image G2 having only the hand-written information described directly on the screen. The two images G1, G2 are recorded in association with each other in the memory card by a predetermined method. When the memory card is mounted in a personal computer or the like, the hand-written information image G2 can be used on the personal computer.
