PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically switch between an interleaved access in response to a broadband memory access request and a non-interleaved access in response to a narrowband memory access request. SOLUTION: A memory controller 10 comprising an interleaved access means 7a and a non-interleaved access means 7b further comprises an area management means 13 for managing an interleaved access area and a non-interleaved access area, wherein the area management means 13 dynamically switches between the interleaved access and the non-interleaved access according to a read or write address in the memory access request.
