PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step motor which facilitates setting of a holding torque value, and design for minimizing a watch, and a step motor which facilitates design of shaft holes of gear trains and holes for lock pins, and is equipped with holding torque setting means. SOLUTION: Along with making at least either one of an upper bearing 5 and a lower bearing 6 supporting a rotor shaft 17 rotatably out of a soft magnetic material, a holding torque setting means composed of a notch groove formed on a bearing surface on a rotor magnet 16 side with a setting angle different from a direction in which a stator link section 9 is provided, is formed.
