PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist type sun screen skin preparation for external use, excellent in ultraviolet light-defending property and pigment dispersion stability. SOLUTION: This aqueous dispersion type sunscreen cosmetic containing a water-soluble polymer and a polyhydric alcohol, and used by spraying as a mist state is characterized by containing titanium oxide fine particles and/or zinc oxide fine particles covered by water-containing silicic acid or anhydrous silicic acid.
