PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stick for assisting walking which is capable of supporting weight of a user without the user falling down when walking. SOLUTION: In the stick 100A for assisting walking, where one end side of a support stem 1 is provided with a leg part 11 in contact with the ground and the other end side of the support stem 1 is provided with a grip part 2 for the user to grip is provided, the grip part 2 is provided in a state that it is eccentric to the support stem 1. When the stick is used, the grip part 2 of the stick 100A for assisting walking is gripped in a state that it is placed nearer to the user than the support stem 1 and a gravitational action point (a) which acts on the grip part 2 while walking comes nearer to the user than a contact point (b) with the ground of the leg part 11.
