PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such that in the gearing operation of a transmission part for changing the speed of left and right reciprocal motions of the seedling-loading stage, on the gearing operation of a gearing operation tool by releasing a fixing tool, and by mistake, when pulling out the gearing operation tool from a transmission case, the engagement of the gearing operation tool with the gear of the transmission part comes off and the gearing operation can not be performed. SOLUTION: This seedling-transplanting machine installed with a seedling-loading stand 10 reciprocally moving left and right and a transplanting device 11 taking out the seedling for one stock from the seedlings loaded on the seedling-loading stand 10 and transplanting on a pad surface, and a gearing part 47 for changing the left and right-moving speed of the seedling-loading stand is provided by installing a gearing operation tool 48 engaging with any of a multiple number of driving gears 43, 44 and a multiple number of following gears 45, 46, and changing the bite of the driving gears 43, 44 with the following gear 45, 46, as freely fixed and rotation operable to a machine body, and also installing a falling off-preventing body 52 for preventing the gearing operation tool 48 from falling out from a machine body on rotation-operating the gearing operation tool 48.
