The method involves supplying air and fuel to a combustion chamber (4) of an internal-combustion engine (1), where small amount of fuel is injected into the combustion chamber during moving operation of a motor vehicle e.g. diesel engined vehicle, and perceived for a driver of the motor vehicle in a non-disturbing manner and burnt in a moment-neutral manner. A part of a fuel mass is injected before a top dead center and another part of the fuel mass is injected after the top dead center of a piston (2). An independent claim is also included for a computer program comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for operation of an internal-combustion engine.
