A hermetic compressor is provided to reduce the abrasion of a rotation shaft of a driving motor and a lower bearing, to prevent the generation of impurities therebetween, and to prevent the deterioration of the operation of parts such as a vane caused by the impurities, by supporting the rotation shaft axially by using a muffler coupled at the lower bearing. A hermetic compressor includes a muffler(450) coupled outside a cylinder(410) for reducing the noise generated by refrigerant discharged from the cylinder and supporting a lower end of a rotation shaft(230) of a driving motor in the axial direction. The muffler is partially inserted into axial hole of a bearing plate(420) so that the inserted inner surfaces contact an end of the rotation shaft slidingly. |
