A method for refining austenitic stainless steel with high purity is provided to reduce the number of inclusions of molten metal transferred to a casting ladle after the decarburization and denitrification processes have been performed in an AOD(Argon Oxygen Decarburization) refining furnace. A method for refining austenitic stainless steel with high purity comprises the steps of controlling the temperature of molten metal in an AOD, and adjusting the temperature of the molten metal when a ladle treatment is performed. In the step of controlling the temperature of the molten metal in the AOD, the temperature in the decarburization process is controlled such that the temperature is in the range of +50°C or less as compared with the pouring temperature of an electric arc furnace. |
