An electrostatic precipitator for high velocity adopting a single high voltage applying method and an electrostatic precipitation method for the same are provided to improve treatment efficiency per unit volume and to maximize durability of an electrifying plate even in the electrostatic precipitator over 7m/s by using the single high voltage applying method and the shape of a projection unit of the electrifying plate. An electrostatic precipitator for high velocity adopting a single high voltage applying method is composed of an electrifying unit having a plurality of electrifying plates(20) charging suspended particles included in the inflow air, with electricity and a dust collecting unit having a plurality of dust collecting plates(10) for collecting the electrified particles. The electrifying plate is separated from the adjacent dust collecting plate between the dust collecting plates. The electrifying unit and the dust collecting unit are integrated.
