An LCD device is provided to ground a black matrix formed in the lower part of a TFT to prevent an induction voltage from being formed on the black matrix, thereby preventing the characteristics of the TFT of an LCD device from being deteriorated. A first substrate(103) is composed of an image display region and an image non-display region. A black matrix(109) is formed in the image non-display region of the first substrate. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(115) is formed on the black matrix. A grounding connection portion(160) is connected to the black matrix to ground the black matrix. A pixel electrode is formed in the image display region of the first substrate. The grounding connection portion is composed of a metal layer extended from the black matrix and a metal line(164) connected to the metal layer. |
