Compositions and method for killing unwanted plants using herbicidal comp ositions, which may in specific formulations include fatty acids and fatty a cid esters as herbicidal agents and carriers for herbicidal agents, and in o ther embodiments include at least one ingredient selected from among fatty a cids, soy, soybean oil, and silicone oil. Compositions of such type can be a pplied to areas containing both desired and undesired plants, to kill the un desired plants without harming the desired plants.
