The invention relates to engine-building, in particular, to rotary-piston machines and internal combustion engines. Said invention makes it possible to obtain the higher ratio between the power and torque and the total weight of the assembly and the higher performance by means of a novel kinematic configuration. The inventive rotary-vane internal combustion engine comprises a stator (1) and a rotor (2) which is provided with movable vanes (3). The stator is provided with a point (6) of friction contact with the rotor and a separator roll (4) which divides the space between the stator and the rotor into three-dimensional parts, which are provided with openings (5) used for receiving a working mixture and for removing exhaust gases and in which thermodynamic processes of working medium expansion and compression are produced. The movable vanes are mutually synchronised by means of gear engagement directly or through idler gears. Closed conduit grooves which are used for fitting the vane tips to the stator surface and for positioning the vanes according to the rotating rotor position are embodied on the internal surface of the stator end covers.
