<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for jet printing that emits a light of red color only when irradiated with ultraviolet rays and exerts good adsorption power to the surfaces of paper, fibers, and the like which are easily infiltrated with ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition for jet printing comprises 0.001 to 5.0 wt.% fluorescent material that is a 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-thienyl)-1,3-butanedionate-europium chelate compound represented by formula and is characterized by not emitting light under visible light, but emitting a light of red color under ultraviolet rays.
