<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical phase modulation evaluation device capable of accurately evaluating the phase modulation state of optical phase modulation signals in DPSK or DQPSK or the like of different symbol rates. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical phase modulation evaluation device comprising a first beam splitter 1 for demultiplexing the optical phase modulation signals, a second beam splitter 6 for multiplexing the demultiplexed light and outputting optical intensity conversion signals, a bit delay device 2 and an optical waveform measurement part 11 for converting the optical intensity conversion signals outputted from the second beam splitter to electric signals and observing the optical phase modulation signals, the bit delay device can set a delay amount equivalent to 1 bit of the symbol rate corresponding to the plurality of symbol rates of the optical phase modulation signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
