<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reuse character information as recording search data or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In a teletext receiver which comprises a teletext decoder 20 for decoding character information from a received teletext signal and a control unit 22 which downloads the character information decoded by the decoder 20 to a RAM 26 for temporary storage, and in which the control unit 22 records on a recording medium a video signal of a recording program to be recorded, extracts program information relating to the recording program from the character information downloaded to the RAM 26 and superimposes the extracted program information on a recorded video image during playback, the control unit 22 comprises a ROM 24 storing a program for control and regarding all receivable broadcast stations, the ROM 24 stores a broadcast station and a page to display first program information to be broadcast on the day thereon in a television program guide showing program information of the broadcast station in association with each other as a table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
