<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce molten iron with high productivity and at a low cost while performing a stable operation, in a method for producing the molten iron with which iron-based scrap is used as raw material by using a vertical-type scrap melting furnace. <P>SOLUTION: In the method where the iron-based scrap and the coke are charged from the furnace top part and hot-blast is blown from a plurality of tuyeres at the lower part of the furnace to melt the iron-based scrap with the combustion heat with of coke, oxygen is enriched in the hot-blast and the iron-based scrap and/or the coke charged into the furnace are beforehand dry-treated or preheated. The combustion of the coke and the melting of the iron-based scrap, are suitably performed in the whole furnace by optimizing the supplying of the oxygen in the furnace and further, the dew condensation of the corrosive gas in a waste gas tube and accumulation in the furnace of dusts, etc., are restrained by restraining the lowering of the furnace top temperature. Therefore, the trouble on the operation caused by the lowering of the furnace top temperature does not occur and the molten iron can be produced with the high productivity and at a low cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
