<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of parts of a gas sensor, and to reduce the number of processes and cost required for assembly. <P>SOLUTION: A gas sensor includes a sensor element 10 having a sensing part 11 for sensing a predetermined gas, a first cover 71 for covering the sensing part 11 of the sensor element 10, and a second cover 72 for covering the first cover 71.
