PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a border section structure which can prevent a border member from being displaced or lifted, and which can prevent a step from being formed on the floor surface of a free-access floor. SOLUTION: This border section structure comprises: the border member 32 which comprises a horizontal plate portion 36 provided almost in parallel with a sub-floor surface 10, and a vertical plate portion 38 continuously formed in such a shape as to be bent perpendicularly downward from one end of the horizontal plate portion 36 and having its height-direction lower end brought into contact with the sub-floor surface 10; and a supporting base A which comprises an upper end surface 18 subject to the placement of a panel 3 for the free-access floor, and a groove portion 20a opened on the upper end surface 18. The border member 32 has an engaging portion 40 which is formed in such a shape as to be bent downward from the other end of the horizontal plate portion 36, and which is engaged with the groove portion 20a.
