PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture ornaments excellent in durability and aesthetic appearance having stereoscopic feeling by a method causing little environmental load by repeatedly using, especially, a mask for forming a coating in the manufacture of many dial plates for timepieces, and to provide a method for manufacturing the ornaments, the ornaments and timepieces with the ornaments. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the ornament 1 includes the steps of: preparing a substrate 12 having a projecting part 121 on at least one surface; forming an oxide film 13 on the surface side provided with the projecting part 121 of the substrate 12; forming a metal film 14 by performing vapor-phase film deposition on the surface side provided with the projecting part 121 (surface side formed with the oxide film 13) of the substrate 12 in a state that a mask 21 having an opening part 2 provided at a part corresponding to the projecting part 121; and removing the mask 2.
