MEMBER CONNECTION METHOD AND COMPOSITE MEMBER CONNECTED BY THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member connection method which does not require a work for removing flushes or the like which are produced in the shaft parts of a second member when the shaft part of the second member which is formed by casting or forging using molds is inserted into and connected with a cylindrical tube part formed on a first member. SOLUTION: Planar relief parts 22e, 22f are formed in the parts which are the outer peripheral surface of a connecting part 22d of a bearing member 22 which is inserted into the cylinder of an arm member 10 and on which the flushes are produced. The relief parts 22e, 22f are formed so that the length L between respective tip parts of the flushes 22c which are respectively produced in the relief parts 22e, 22f is shorter than the outside diameterϕSof the connecting part 22d. The connecting part 22d of the bearing member 22 constituted in this way is inserted into the cylinder of the arm member 10 and the arm member 10 and the bearing member 22 are connected by making the outer peripheral surface of the arm member 10 plastically deform by press working.
